Protein Shake Recipes

By Samantha Carter

Getting protein into your system, whether you were working out or not used to be very difficult, it involved eating a lot of lean meat and eggs etc. Along came whey protein, with the fastest absorption rate imaginable. This resulted in a massive boost in popularity and has to massive sales.

Making protein shakes are easy, if you are looking for, lets say as an example, 24 grams of protein, then you would add one scoop to whatever liquid you like, which could be milk or water or something else. Then to this you add the flavors or even additional protein in different forms and just blend it all together.

The reason a lot of people dont try out whey protein is because they think that supplements are not good for you and will contain additives like steroids. Whey protein is not like that, its just pure protein that gets absorbed into the body much faster than other kind. While it can be a little expensive, the prices are slowly starting to drop.

Here is an example recipe:

Peppermint Oatmeal Shake Ingredients: Mix 2 scoops of Alpine Milk Chocolate Protein Delite or other protein with 1 cup sugar free vanilla ice cream 1 cup oatmeal 2 cups non-fat milk 1.2 cup water a splash of peppermint extract!

And another recipe:

Wild Berry Boost Ingredients: 2 scoops vanilla flavor whey protein powder (Whey Best, Scipro) 8 raspberries 4 strawberries 15 blueberries 16 ounces nonfat milk 1/2 cup ice cubes

Have a protein shake like this after your workout and feel the difference. - 17268
