Two Sample HCG Recipes

By Amelia Handley

Interest in the HCG program is rampant. It offers fantastic results. But one thing that most prospective dieters would like to see before they decide to go for it is the actual food that will be eaten while on the program. So...in response we're offering up two sample recipes for you to try before committing to the diet.

Sample Recipe #1: Chicken Marinara

Ingredients:
100 grams of chicken
1 small tomato, diced
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp chili powder
A Dash of garlic powder
A Dash of pepper

Follow the directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place half your tomatoes in the bottom of your favorite casserole dish. Sear your chicken with a dash of pepper, a dash of salt and a dash of garlic powder for a couple minutes on each side. Then put it in the casserole dish on top of the tomatoes. Immediately after adding the chicken, add your minced garlic. Toss all of the remaining ingredients in small bowl separately and then place over the top of the chicken in the casserole dish. Cover it and cook for 45 minute to an hour. It's best served warm so let it cool for 10 minutes or so before you eat!

The second HCG approved sample recipe is Turkey Tomato Soup

List of ingredients:
turkey, 100 grams, cooked
tomatoes, 2 cans stewed or crushed (preferably of the organic variety)
garlic, 3 cloves, crushed
red wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons
parsley, just a pinch
cumin, just a pinch
basil, just a pinch
rosemary, just a pinch
red pepper flakes, just a pinch

Directions:
Put tomatoes and garlic in a pot and add seasonings. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the cooked turkey and bring it to a boil. Cook for 5-10 additional minutes and serve warm.

Trying out 2 recipes might not give you an all inclusive idea of what to expect on the program, but it will give you an idea of what's possible. And what's possible is that you can eat healthy and still enjoy what you're eating. The HCG program is a weight loss program so fudge and cheesecake aren't on the menu...but you'll be surprised at how much you like what is on the menu! - 17268
