What Is MMS and What Can It Do for You?

By Lee Jacobs

MMS is the popular term given to a product and protocol that was initially put together by a man named Jim Humble. Briefly, Jim made the discovery whilst being on a gold finding expedition a number of years ago, in which two of the expedition members were struck down with a serious bout of Malaria. With the nearest help being at least two days away by foot, Jim had little alternative but to share the remaining quantity of his personal supply of liquid oxygen with them - and in less than 4 hours later, both men were up celebrating their recent return to health. Upon returning home, Jim furthered his understanding of this molecule, delving deeper into the actual mechanics of the compound itself.

Ok, now for a little science.

Though it may seem so, the active constituent of MMS is not sodium chlorite, or liquid oxygen. Instead, it is the chlorine dioxide it contains. When sodium chlorite is mixed with a premeasured amount of an acid like citric acid, a significant amount of chlorine dioxide is produced within several minutes.

When you look at the chlorine dioxide molecule, you can easily mistake its chlorine part for what is more commonly known as chlorine gas. Nonetheless, chlorine is found in nature in large quantities, and most often it is bound to sodium, which gives us table salt.

Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound being composed of one chlorine ion & two ions of oxygen.

Chlorine dioxide itself is a powerful oxidizing agent, and actively accepts electrons from other molecules that are more commonly known as "electron donors". It is important to note at this stage that virtually all pathogenic stressors within the human body are electron donors. This helps explain why healthy tissue within the body is preferentially spared and untouched by the chlorine dioxide compound.

Chlorine dioxide has actually been used within the industry for a good 60 years as a water purifier. The EPA has approved it (as of several decades ago) because it can remove deadly pathogen like anthrax from our water supply. This is further proof that chlorine dioxide is an effective pathogen destroyer. And unlike chlorine, the compound breaks down into harmless byproducts of carbon dioxide and water. Chlorine itself takes much longer to break down, and that's not its only problem. It also has byproducts that can be carcinogenic.

In spite of the fact that it is safe and effective in many applications, chlorine dioxide itself is very volatile, and must be created immediately before it's used. That's why it's usually transported in its more inert state of sodium chlorite. It's become a much more accepted compound within the water purification industry, such that sodium chlorite (chlorine dioxide) is now a preferable molecule to use for water purification, and is thus replacing chlorine in more and more applications across the country.

In its final state, Jim Humble's MMS solution is 28% sodium chlorite in a mix of distilled water. One can then mix five drops of citric acid activator with a drop of MMS solution (sodium chloride) to make the required chlorine dioxide.

By having your very own supply of sodium chlorite and appropriate activator on hand, which is entirely safe to transport, you can have your very own pathogen killer and water purifier with you regardless of where you may happen to find yourself.

Literally, you have good health in your hands. - 17268
