The Power OF Enzymes In The Food You Eat

By Terry Adams

Enzymes are important to the various chemical processes in the body and have been shown to be important for maintaining health. Raw food is full of these important chemicals which are catalysts for many of the metabolic processes that go on in the body. They are especially important in the digestive system as they help in the breakdown and absorption of food.

They are also vital for the many functions that go on in the body as a whole and can be found all over including the muscles to help muscle contraction and in the brain where they are important for neural functioning. Nothing can happen within the body without them..

The more of these enzymes you take in via food groups such as fruit and vegetables the less your own body will be depleted of its own chemical supply, so it can work on many of the other processes that help maximize your own body's potential.

Many raw foods provide much more enzymes than cooked foods. The heat from cooking often destroys these fragile chemicals. As a result of this, it means we need to eat more cooked foods to get the same amount of enzymes as we would from the raw foods. This means an increase in calorie intake, causing obesity, and also puts more stress on the body as it has to work harder.

Eating raw foods like fruit and vegetables will often satisfy your hunger more quickly than eating the same foods cooked. The less calorie input not only reduced the risk of obesity but, due to the lower demands on the body, systems it also reduces the rate of aging.

Fruit juices and salads are a great way to get a lot of raw fruit and vegetables into the body. Therefore, drinking fruit juice every day and eating a large salad at least every alternate day is a fantastic way to boost your intake of enzymes and enhances your body's overall functioning.

Another option is to have a daily juice that contains a combination of fruit and vegetables. This is a quick and delicious way of getting your quota of enzymes and nutrients. Some meat and fish can also be eaten raw and will provide nutrients on the same principles. Eating a rare steak will provide more nutrients and will be easier to digest and less taxing on the body than with a well done steak. Improved digestion will also reduce ailments like constipation.

If you do decide to follow this plan then I would advise starting by just replacing some of your foods on a daily basis with fruit and vegetables. Then each day replace more and more and before you know it you will be experiencing the full benefits. - 17268
